Biweekly Book Review: On Hiatus

3 years and 120 books later, the Biweekly Book Review is going on hiatus.

I started this little project back in April 2020, freshly in lockdown. With my job at the time still trying to figure out the shift to remote, I had a lot of time on my hands and decided to reread the canon Star Wars books chronologically, blogging about it as I went.

The project served many purposes. It gave me something to focus on when everything was so uncertain. It helped me rediscover why I loved Star Wars. It gave me an entry into public, active fandom, and gave me a voice.

These days, I’m beyond privileged to be able to write full time, and for multiple outlets. I have a platform. I have a voice. Exciting things are on the horizon. This blog did what it was meant to do, and for that I am grateful.

But it’s time to take a break. It’s not goodbye forever. To paraphrase, nothing is ever really gone. Eventually I may bring it back for another mini-project, or to revisit the books that are still coming out, when I’m in a place to write posts I can be proud of. But that’s it for now.

If you ever took the time to read any one of my little posts, or to share or comment, know how beyond grateful I am for that.
